Running a marathon is hard enough for most people. Some people, nonetheless, like to mix in some extra sweating and chaffing via elaborate "marathon costumes". Sometimes these costumes are just for fun, but often they are used to raise awareness and money for benevolent causes. Below are some of the most creative, hilarious, and uncomfortable marathon outfits ever witnessed.

    A lot of these made me chuckle, what a fun post. The beautiful Masai warriors really touched my heart and running with old car tires on the feet. Wow.

    Great marathon costumes. I walked a marathon and had trouble even though I was wearing only shorts and a singlet.

    I have run many Marathons in Japan, in everyone you see ccrazy costumes and get ups, Its both motivating and hilarious.
