  4. Refrain from sobbing breakdown at mile 21.
  5. Feign lucidity at finish line.

    My checklist ran:

    1. Forget to carbo load
    2. Get dehydrated the day before
    3. Get four hours of sleep
    4. Forget morning snack
    5. Run like hell and regret all of the above
