A Space Divided: The World’s Craziest Fences

As a runner I get to see things in slow motion. I don ’t pass by the world at 65 miles an hour, but at a nice slow pace. Eventually, jogging past property after property, one starts to notice some mighty strange things. Strange house, strange trees, strange vehicles, strange animals, etc. Here are some great examples of strange fences. I haven't spotted all of these myself but I've seen my share (problem is I never take my camera running).

Bike Fence

Bowling Ball Fence

Used Artillery Fence

Junk Fence

Ski Fence

Bra Fence

Toothbrush Fence

Surf Board Fence

Gates Without Fences

I don't think these are going to do much good.

That bra one is in New Zealand. Ive driven past it. Its always a crack up. But the local council there wants to take it down, claiming its offensive when it’s a huge tourist attraction.

Hahaha! Brilliant! I loved the one with the gates.

I can’t see myself bothering to make one though.

I think the surfboard fence is in Haleiwa, Hawaii. There’s a guy by the name of Ron Artis that “resurrects” old surfboards and makes art out of them. Really cool guy.

The bowling ball fence is quite lovely- all those nice, colourful spheres just hanging like that.

The fence of bras is on the South Island of New Zealand near Queenstown. I have several pics of it when I drove past it a few years ago when on holiday.

The fence built with ski’s is brilliant. Now how about one the old used tires.

I could see that bowling ball fence being erected by someone with a taste for Ikea furniture.

Very cool. I especially like the gates in the middle of nowhere.

I like the ski, and the surf board ones. The gate in the pasture cracks me up, it actually looks like there is a path leading to it in the grass, like someone or something walks up to it on a regular basis! Too funny.

There are several junk fences on the outskirts of Tampa. The skis might be worth some $$$

The bowling ball fence and bike frame fence are terribly gaudy. My wife would never let me install a fence like that!

I live in the mountains and see stuff made out of skis all the time like deck furniture and trash bins, the ski fence is a new one!
